- Shut off your air conditioner and open your windows
- If engine overheating continues, turn on your heater and blower
- If stopped in traffic, shift to neutral or park and rev the engine slightly

- Safely drive to the right side of the road
- Stop your vehicle
- Turn off the engine
- Open the hood and wait for the engine to cool off
- Do NOT open the radiator cap or add water until the engine is completely cooled
